September 8, 2016 § 1 Comment
We discuss the trends and issues we observed during the weeks of August 22-September 7 as we flipped resources into our Flipboard magazine (http://bit.ly/trendsandissues). We discuss four trends. The first is Virtual Reality. VR dominated the news with new VR platforms, discussions about the quest for VR content, and the use (and desired use) of VR in K-12. The second trend is online teaching and learning with discussions about COOLs (communities of open online learning), MOOCs, netiquette, and online testing. The third trend was Augmented Reality with discussions about Pokémon Go and Microsoft HoloLens. The fourth trend was issues surrounding security and safety.
