Episode 80 Trends for January 9-24 K12 Technology Resources, Augmented Reality, & Online Teaching Resources

We discuss the trends and issues we observed during the weeks of January 9-24 as we flipped resources into our Flipboard magazine (http://bit.ly/trendsandissues). We discuss three trends that we observed. The first is the augmented reality and virtual reality. There was no single focus of the resources we flipped.   The second trend was online teaching and learning. There were a number of resources we flipped dealing with online tools for teaching and learning online. The third tread was K12 classroom technology resources. There were a number of resources we flipped that discussed available resources (e.g. a version of Adobe design products available for the Chromebook) that can be used by students and teachers.

Episode 79 Trends for December 31 – January 8, 2017 Voice Controlled Hardware, Online Teaching & Learning, and AR & VR

We discuss the trends and issues we observed during the weeks of December 31-January 8 as we flipped resources into our Flipboard magazine (http://bit.ly/trendsandissues). We discuss three trends that we observed. The first is the Consumer Electronics Show (http://www.ces.tech/). Two major ideas cam out from the show that we believe are emerging trends: smart products and voice controlled hardware.  The second trend was online teaching and learning. There were a number of resources we flipped that dealt with faculty development issues with teaching online. The third tread was augmented reality and virtual reality.
