April 27, 2017 § Leave a Comment
We discuss the trends and issues we observed during the weeks of April 13-26 as we flipped resources into our Flipboard magazine (http://bit.ly/trendsandissues). We discuss three trends that we observed. The trends were online learning, augmented reality and virtual reality, and open educational resources. There were a variety of resources that focused on strategies and tools for effective online learning and resources discussing research in online learning. The second trend, augmented reality and virtual reality, included resources that were on similar topics from the previous episode: a focus was on educational uses of these tools. There were also a number of new hardware for virtual reality with the announcements of 306 degree cameras. The third trend was Open Educational Resources (OER). We observed the beginnings of debates on OER.
